Match fixing and other crazy issues in Italy

Fox Sports has a great write up on the current problems facing Italy's Serie A. The big problem is rooted in Genoa's fixing of it's finally match last season. By winning, they were able to move to Serie A and make a lot more money. However, cheating, as it turns out, might not have been the best way to make this happen. In addition to this crisis, there are some "fiscal responsibility" standards teams need to meet in order for play to begin.

A delay of the season would be very bad for Italy since they must end things on time to allow players to prepare for the World Cup.

Always a fun time in Italy.
