Facundo Erpen replaces Eddie Pope on All-Star team

DC United added yet another player to the All-Star team as defender Facundo Erpen (pictured) will replace Eddie Pope on the roster. Pope, who retired from international soccer earlier today, is unavailable due to a contusion on his right foot.

Erpen has started every match for league leading United and even won goal of the week honors during week 4. His inclusion brings DC United's total player count to 8 out of a total of 18. Looks like we might just get a rematch of last year's DC-Chelsea game after all.

Erpen is the 24th member named to the 18-man All-Star squad. Here is the new lineup for Saturday's match (ESPN - 6:30pm ET):

Goalkeeper
Troy Perkins (DCU), Joe Cannon (Colorado)

Defender
Jimmy Conrad (Kansas City), Chris Albright (Los Angeles), Bobby Boswell (DCU), Eddie Robinson (Houston), Facundo Erpen (DCU)

Midfielders
Dwayne De Rosario (Houston), Christian Gomez (DCU), Freddy Adu (DCU), Josh Gros (DCU), Richard Mulrooney (FC Dallas), Ronnie O'Brien (FC Dallas), Ricardo Clark (Houston)

Forwards
Jaime Moreno (DCU), Alecko Eskandarian (DCU), Nate Jaqua (Chicago), Brain Ching (Houston)
