Men's U-20 to play for the Milk Cup

The U-20 men did not control the match today against Denmark like they did on Monday against Wales, but they were still able to get a point and earn a spot in the Northern Ireland Milk Cup final on Friday.

The US tied Denmark 2-2 after taking a 2-0 lead in the first twenty minutes thanks to a strong header by Preston Zimmerman and a good volley by Robbie Rogers off a Dax McCarty corner. But the second half belonged to Denmark as Nikolaj Hansen and Martin Jurgeson both scored to earn a share of the points.

In other matches, host Northern Ireland beat Turkey 2-0 with both goals scored by Daryll Fordyce and Wales made it hard for Paraguay, but fell to them 2-3. Lloyd James scored twice for Wales, while Jorge Mequert also earned a double with Pablo Centurion adding a third.

With the results in, Friday's placement matches are set. Turkey will face Wales (7am ET), Northern Ireland will take on Denmark (9am ET) and Paraguay will fight holders the USA (3pm ET) for the honor of being the Elite Champion of the Milk Cup.
