LA Galaxy to host South Korean National Team

The 2005 MLS Champions will kick their training into high gear on February 8th when they face the South Korean national team at the Home Depot Center.

This is an interesting warm up matches for both sides. LA will just be a week back into training while the Koreans will be in the middle of an eight-game tour that starts January 15th in Dubai.

Dutchman Dick Advocaat, who counts former Galaxy assistant Afshin Ghotbi as a member of his technical staff, serves as Korea Republic's coach.

Since the US national team is scheduled to play Japan on February 10th, it will be interesting to see if Landon Donovan, Chris Albright, Kevin Hartman* or any of the other Galaxy players called to the US training camp will play in this LA-Korean match.

* When I first posted, I listed Frankie Heduk instead of Hartman. Since Heduk plays for Columbus, I don't think this match will affect his standing. Don't know why I did that. Sorry.
