Arena announces roster for Scotland

The Bruce has announced his training roster for this Saturday's match against Scotland. As expected, there are a lot of non-domestic players in the lineup (although there are a few more domestic players then I expected). All but three of the players have had some time with the US team. The three newbies are Benny Feilhaber, Heath Pearce and Chris Rolfe. Of these three, I am most excited to see what Rolfe will do in this game. He has been great for the Fire, but can he turn that into international play?

One name missing for this lineup is Giuseppe Rossi. The much talked about rumor seems to have been false. I can't say I'm surprised, as Rossi seems set on making it happen for Italy.

So here is the full list of 20 players in the US camp:

Goalkeepers (2) – Tim Howard (Manchester United), Kasey Keller (Borussia Moenchengladbach)

Defenders (7) – Gregg Berhalter (Energie Cottbus), Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham FC), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Jim Conrad (Kansas City Wizards), Oguchi Onyewu (Standard de Liege), Heath Pearce (FC Norjælland), Jonathan Spector (Charlton Athletic)

Midfielders (7) – DaMarcus Beasley (PSV Eindhoven), Brian Carroll (D.C. United), Benny Feilhaber (Hamburger SV), Eddie Gaven (MetroStars), Ben Olsen (D.C. United), Santino Quaranta (D.C. United), Kerry Zavagnin (Kansas City Wizards)

Forwards (4) – Brian Ching (San Jose Earthquakes), Brian McBride (Fulham FC), Chris Rolfe (Chicago Fire), Josh Wolff (Kansas City Wizards)
