Pope in as a director of Players Union
Former US international Eddie Pope has been hired as the MLS Players' Union Director of Player Relations. This is a very important position, as the Union gets ready to renegotiate their contract with MLS at the end of the 2009 season.
Bringing in Pope is a smart move as he is one of the most respected players in US history as well as a very intelligent person.
