Brazilian clubs to appeal court order

Santos, Cruzeiro, Internacional, Ponte Preta and Figueirense all agreed to appeal a court order concerning the replay of 11 matches reefed by bribe friendly Edilson Pereira de Carvalho.

This appeal is not going to happen in court; instead it is to Brazil's Sports Tribunal. They seek to have each match analyzed to determine if Carvalho influenced the outcome.

Sides are very concerned about playing so many matches in such a short time especially since they feel they have already got their results.

I think Palmeiras coach Emerson Leao sums this situation up best when he explained that, "for me, the championship is tainted."

No matter what is ruled, people will feel they have been cheated. I'm guess that is because they have been.
