Mexico Win U-17 World Championship

A crowd of 40,000 flooded into the National Stadium in Lima to watch Mexico blow past an uninspired Brazilian side to capture the trophy at the U-17 World Championship yesterday. Mexico looked strong through the whole tournament (even during their one defeat by Turkey) and deserved the gold.

In the third place match, Turkey brought a good game but it was not enough to overcome a very skilled Netherlands side.
