2007 Week 12 recap or Real Salt Lake actually won a game!

The goals and attendance numbers did not hold up from week 11, however week 12 gave us the third week of play without any ties. Also, the West won the week in inter-conference play for only the second time this year while visitors almost managed to win three of the seven games. Finally, with Real's defeat of DC, every MLS team has at least one win.

Here is the league by numbers 79 games into the season:

Toronto FC 0-3 New England Revolution
Toronto continued their poor run of form on the road as the Revolution beat TFC big. But it was not all bad news for the Canadians as Jeff Cunningham was looking better. The Revs looked more like the team of old (ie 3 weeks ago) while Matt Reis had a great game between the posts.
Goals: NE: Andy Dorman (4) 13', (5) 81', Pat Noonan (2) 33'

FC Dallas 1-0 Colorado Rapids
Carlos Ruiz showed his talent on the night but could not finish his chances. Meanwhile, the Rapids continue to look like a team a drift. Their passes were nothing and it seems like they hope Herculez Gomez alone will carry their offense. Dario Sala had a couple good saves for FCD.
Goal: FCD Juan Toja (4) 62'

DC United 1-2 Real Salt Lake
Real Salt Lake owned the midfield for much of the first hour and new hire Robbie Findley made the most of it. He kept finding ways of beating the DC backline and putting himself where needed. United got a beating in Real for the second time in two years.
Goals: RSL: Robbie Findley (3) 41', (4) 50'
DC: Luciano Emilio (6) 87'

Columbus Crew 3-2 LA Galaxy
Is the Crew on a roll? Seven points from three matches is fantastic. The fact that they earned the final three points while playing a man down for an hour is even better. The defeat sticks LA in an even worse hole, however the work of Xavier is looking better, but there is no way you can spin this as anything but more bad times.
Goals: CC: Chad Marshall (2) 15', Ned Grabavoy (3) 58', Alejandro Moreno (3) 84'
LA: Gavin Glinton (1) 66', Edson Buddle (2) 91+'

Houston Dynamo 1-0 KC Wizards
Talk about a team making something of nothing, Houston got run everywhere on that pitch but still came out ahead. The lone goal by defender Patrick Ianni was very much against the run of play, but thanks to the help of Pat Onstad in goal, it was enough. The Wizards put together some amazing passing and attacks, but they got nothing from it.
Goal: Patrick Ianni (1)
