Champions League Round 3 - Day 2

AC Milan v PSV
Anderlecht v Liverpool
Chelsea v Real Betis
FC Porto v Inter Milan
Fenerbahce v Schalke 04
Lyon v Olympiacos
Rangers v Artmedia Bratislava
Real Madrid v Rosenborg

PSV will be looking for a difficult road win against AC Milan in Group E. These two sides have not seen one another since last year’s semifinal series where Milan came out on top. PSV is coming off a blow out loss to Fenerbahce, meaning that they need to use this match to restart their campaign. Fenerbahce will try to make the best use of their home field by defeating Schalke 04 and staying at least in the second place.

Will Real Madrid be able to continue their winning ways or will Rosenborg become another Lyon? I expect Real will top Rosenborg in Group F, but it will be interesting to see how much Ronaldo's absence effects the galacticos. In the other Group F match, if Lyon can beat Olympiacos, they would have 9 points in the group, which should all but guarantee them a pass to the knock out phase.

In Group G, Liverpool plays Anderlecht, who has yet to earn a point, but have only conceded two goals. It will be a difficult road test for the champions. Real Betis goes to London to face Chelsea who is fielding a near perfect team. If Betis escape with any points, it will be a major positive for them.

FC Porto fell apart in their last Group H match against Artmedia Bratislava when the managed to lose 3-2 after being up 2-0. Will Porto be able to put that game behind them as they take on always challenging Inter Milan at home? For the above-mentioned Artmedia Bratislava, they get the Rangers. The last time Artmedia traveled to Scotland, they lost 4-0 to Celtic. If the Rangers can play half as good as that, they should be able to get a positive result.
