MLS July 4th games
After Germany and Italy clash for the right to win the Cup, why not take a few moments to watch a MLS game. All 12 teams will play and all 6 games will air on Direct Kick or MLS TV.
The big match up will be DC United visiting FC Dallas. United have been on a run while Dallas has slacked. If DC wins this game, the Supporter's Shield is all but there's. However, if FCD can get a win, they will be on their way to taking the West and who knows, maybe these two will meet again in Dallas in November. (6pm ET)
The other games see Chicago play host to KC (8pm ET), Houston welcome Columbus (8:30pm ET), Colorado try to conquer Clint Dempsey and New England (9:30pm ET), Real Salt Lake work at curbing Chivas's recent good run of form (10pm ET) and LA will want to win one for Lalas as they battle New York at the Home Depot Center (10pm ET).
The best of these other games will be the LA-New York match as both teams need to win. Over the weekend, Donovan came out of his coma to take LA to a big road win over KC. If he and LA bring it again, the Bulls of New York will be seeing red.
Anyway you look at it, as the World Cup winds down, the MLS is ramping out. Give it a go and see what you think.
By the way, here is the fun true story of George Washington to fill your Independence Day. Enjoy the fireworks.
